March 16, 2024, on the occasion of the upcoming feast of the holy forty martyrs of Sebaste, of whom St. Martyr Theophilus, is the heavenly patron of His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilus ӀӀӀ, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem (as part of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia) took part in the celebration of the nameday of the primate of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of the holy city of Jerusalem.
Following the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord, there was a reception in the large hall of the patriarchate. Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeev), head of the REM as part of the Moscow Patriarchate, read the festal greeting of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'. They then congratulated the Patriarch and received his blessing.
