On Sunday evening, March 17, 2024, the Нead of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky) led the rite of forgiveness after Vespers at the Ascension Convent on the Holy Mount of Olives. In his sermon, Fr. Roman reminded us that in this sacred and mysterious moment, before entering through the “doors of repentance,” we must sincerely and lovingly ask each other for forgiveness, remembering the words of the Paschal stichera: “... we have forgiven each other. With joy, brethren, and to those who hate us, let us forgive all by the Resurrection!”
Then the Archimandrite asked forgiveness from his fellow concelebrants, the abbess of the monastery and all the sisters.
