Archpastoral Service in Bethany

As part of his pastoral visit, on Friday May 24, the day of remembrance of Saints Cyril and Methodius the Teachers of the Slavs, Metropolitan Mark (Arndt) of Berlin and Germany celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the community of the Resurrection of Christ in Bethany (al-Azariya). The service was performed in the temple of the holy righteous Lazarus of the four days, Martha and Mary. The head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky) along with Hierodeacon Amphilochius (Mazur) concelebrated with Vladyka. The elder sister of the monastery, Mother Maria (Wall), led the singing. During the service, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, was prayerfully commemorated. Upon the dismissal, “many years” were sung for him.
