In the last week of October, all the sisters of the Ascension Convent took part in a common obedience – the harvest of olives.
The Head of the Mission, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky) served a moleben “for invoking the help of the Holy Spirit before the beginning of every good deed.” Then the sisters began to climb trees to pick the fruit. The elder sisters separated the olives from leaves and branches. Also, acquaintances and parishioners arrived to help.
Since this year the harvest was not very large, which happens every several years, we managed to finish the work in three days, where usually there is enough work for a week.
We thank the Lord for His mercy and His answer to our prayer for “an abundance of the fruits of the earth.”
