At the invitation of the Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem of the Moscow Patriarchate, Archimandrite Alexander (Elisov), the Chief of the REM of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), took part in the patronal feast of the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
The First Hierarch of the Autocephalous Church of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilus ӀӀӀ led the divine service co-served by Archbishop Aristarchus of Constantine and Archbishop Joachim of Elenopolis. Also, Greek and Romanian clergy, the clergy of the Mission with pilgrims in holy orders participated in the Liturgy. Anatoly Dmitrievich Viktorov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the State of Israel, prayed in the temple. Also present were the abbesses of the Gornensky Monastery of m. Ekaterina (Chernysheva), the Convent of the Mount of Olives of m. Varvara (Novikova) and the Gethsemane Monastery m. Elisabeth (Smelic).
After the service, a religious procession proceeded to the Sergius metochion, next to the cathedral, for a festive meal.
