Metropolitan Mark Led the Church Service on the day of the Leave-Taking of Pascha

On the day of the Leave-taking of Pascha, May 11/24, Metropolitan Mark of Berlin and Germany, in concelebration with Bishop Job of Stuttgart with the monastery clergy and pilgrims in holy orders, led the Divine Liturgy in the royal church of St. Mary Magdalene in the Garden of Gethsemane. The pilgrimage group from Germany prayed at the service together with the Abbess of the monastery – mother Elisabeth (Smelic) and sisters.

After the Liturgy Vladyka Job served a prayer service at the shrine of the venerable martyr Elisaveta Feodorovna.

Then the icon of the Resurrection of Christ was solemnly taken into the altar with the last exclamation of the joyful Paschal greeting “Christ is Risen!”
