On May 21, 2021 a prayer service was served at the construction site at the Bethany Orthodox School for Girls for the resumption of work in the construction for a new parking structure for the school.

The Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission, archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky) served Divine Liturgy at the church of Sts. Lazarus, Martha and Maria. Afterwards Father Roman along with the Head Sister of the monastic community and Principal of the school, Mother Maria (Wall), the monastics of the sisterhood and children of the boarding school went to the building site to serve a moleben for the beginning of work. Fr. Roman sprinkled the site with holy water while the sisters and children sang “Christ is Risen”.

Work on the site began in 2017, but was halted due to sub-quality work and the inferior materials used in the pouring of the foundation. After many years of dealing with the matter hampered by the coronavirus pandemic, work has finally resumed.

We ask God’s blessing that the job will be completed successfully.
