Services for the feast of the Intercession of the Theotokos were celebrated at the Convent of St. Mary Magdalene. The church of St. Mary of Magdalene was consecrated on the day of this feast by Patriarch Nicodemos I of Jerusalem in 1888.
The Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky) celebrated the feast along with Hieromonk Feodor (Kirike), priest Roman Gultiaev and hierodeacon Amfilohy (Mazur).
After Divine Liturgy the clergy and sisters of the convent congratulated Fr. Roman with the day of his patron saint, St. Roman the Melodist. Also, as St. Roman is the patron saint of singers, the Head of the Mission especially noted the choir and thanked them for their work in this difficult yet truly rewarding obediance.
