Patronal Feast Day at the Russian Holy Trinity Cathedral

On the second day of the Feast of Pentecost, the Day of the Holy Spirit, the Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem within the Russian Church Abroad, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), took part in the celebrations of the patronal feast of the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Jerusalem. Hieromonk Misail (Minin) and Hierodeacon Amphilochius (Mazur) also arrived with Roman. At the invitation of the Head of the REM as part of the Moscow Patriarchate, Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeev), Fr. Roman served at the Patriarchal Liturgy. Before the service, the clergy solemnly greeted the Patriarch of the Holy City ​​of Jerusalem and All Palestine, Theophilus ӀӀӀ. His Beatitude was co-served by: Metropolitan Kyriak of Nazareth, Metropolitan Hesychius of Capitolia, General Secretary of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem Archbishop Aristarchus of Constantine, the head of both Missions, clergy from the Greek Patriarchate, the Romanian Church, the clergy of the Mission and pilgrims in holy orders. Praying at the service were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Israel A.D. Viktorov, the Consul General of Greece in Jerusalem Dimitrios Angelosopoulos, the abbess’ of the Russian convents in Jerusalem Abbess Ekaterina (Chernysheva), Abbess Elisabeth (Smelic) and Abbess Varvara (Novikova) with the sisters of the monasteries and many parishioners and pilgrims.

After the service, the patriarch with bishops, clergy, sisters and pilgrims went in procession to the Mission for a festive meal.
