On the night of Holy Pascha, April 7/20, the head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky) and the clergy of the Mission celebrated the bright Paschal Matins and Divine Liturgy at the Ascension of the Lord Convent on the Mount of Olives.
With the gathering of many pilgrims, the services were solemn and joyful. The abbess (in retirement) of the monastery, Mother Varvara (Novikova), was present at the service and prayed with the sisters. At the end of the service, the prioress of the convent, nun Ekaterina (Samara), greeted all the worshipers with painted Easter egg
