On January 17/30 of this year, Metropolitan Mark of Berlin and Germany celebrated the festive services commemorating the holy martyrs G.D. Elisabeth and nun Barbara.
The feast was established by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad in 2020.
The day before, Vladyka Mark celebrated the all-night vigil and, in the morning, the Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in the Garden of Gethsemane, where the healing relics of the holy martyrs rest.
The Metropolitan was assisted by the Head of the REM Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), the monastery clergy, guests and pilgrims in holy orders.
Mother Elizabeth (Smelic), the abbess of the monastery, prayed with the sisters at the services.
