Members of the REM speak at the 40th Open Orthodox Seminar of the Diocese of Germany

At the invitation of Metropolitan Mark, ruling bishop of the Berlin and Germany Diocese, the Head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), and the Senior Sister of the Bethany Community of the Resurrection of Christ, Nun Maria (Wall), took part in the 40th Open Orthodox Seminar in Munich, Germany. The seminar featured interesting lectures by ROCOR bishops, theologians, and clergy on various ecclesiological, pastoral, and dogmatic issues concerning the life of the Orthodox Church today.

Archimandrite Roman gave lectures on Saint John of Shanghai - the miracle worker, about whom he shared his personal memories and the memories of others who were close to the saint and about Metropolitan Anastassy (Gribanovsky), the second First-Hierarch of the ROCOR, who had a huge influence in the life of the REM in Jerusalem and had a great influence on world Orthodoxy.

Mother Maria spoke about monastic life and the life of Orthodox believers in today's Palestine.
