On January 10, Priest Roman Gultiaev took a group of sisters from the Holy Ascention Monastery on a Christmas trip to Mount Tabor, where the Lord was "transfigured in glory."
The sisters prayed in the Church of the Holy Transfiguration. After venerating the shrines of the church, the abbot of the monastery, Archimandrite Hilarion, received the sisters at the monastery reception room. The sisters consoled the elder by singing Christmas carols.
Then Fr. Roman, a professional guide, conducted a tour of the mountain, pointing out little-known sights of the area.
