On April 20/May 3 of this year, festive events in connection with the monastery's feast were held in the metochion of the Holy Apostle Zacchaeus, the former publican in Jericho.
The service was led by the head of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem of the Moscow Patriarchate, Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeev). The head of the Mission of the Russian Church Abroad, Archimandrite Roman (Krassovsky), Hieromonk Ambrose (Ignatov) from Hebron and the mission deacon, Fr. Makary Petukhov assisted Fr. Vassian.
The abbess of the Gornensky Convent, Abbess Ekaterina (Chernysheva) with her sisters, the senior sister of the Jericho Mission compound, nun Lukina (Ganicheva) with her sisters, the monastics of the Mission of the ROCOR living there and the workers of the compound, and numerous pilgrims prayed at the service.
After the service, a prayer service was held to St. Zacchaeus and a religious procession was held.
