On April 19/May 2 of this year, the commemoration of the former member of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission in Jerusalem, St. Victor the Confessor, Bishop of Glazov (+1934 г.) was celebrated at the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the main church of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission. Bishop Victor was sent to serve as a hieromonk in Jerusalem from 1905-1908. During the godless-communist regime, Bishop Victor suffered greatly, experiencing arrest, deprivation and camps, for his unwavering stand for the truth and the Holy Church.
At the invitation of the Head of the REM as part of the Moscow Patriarchate, Archimandrite Vassian (Zmeev), clergy of the REM ROCOR took prayerful part in the Divine Liturgy. Hieromonk Gerasim (Kotovsky), priest Gleb Sukhodolov and hierodeacon Amphilochius (Mazur) served with Fr. Vassian and the clergy of the Mission.
